Digging of Potato crop
During digging of potato, there should not be much moisture in the field. Digging in potato crop should be done after 10-12 days of cutting of leaves or stalks.
The crop is able to digging in about 100-110 days of sowing. If the digging is done after the complete maturing (ripening) of potato, stop irrigation before 20 days from digging in the field.
After digging, keep the potatoes for 10-15 days in shady place. This allows their skins to cure, which will help them keep for longer.
Potato can also be excavated (digging) by tractor-driven diggers.
