Green gram (Moong)

Green gram can be grown in the rabi/summer season on a variety of soils but & the field should be ploughed immediately after the harvest of the previous crop.

This is a viral disease transmitted by white fly mainly. Due to this disease, yellow patches appear on the new leaves of plants.

Selection of land is an integral part of cultivation of green gram. Suitable soil for green gram is sandy loam.
