Mustard

Mustard crop has a special contribution in the Indian economy. Mustard crop is very beneficial for farmers. It gives more income for less cost.

Mustard aphid is small to medium sized globular shaped & is yellowish green or olive green in colour & they have a pair of cornicles (wax secreting tubes).

White rust is not a serious disease of mustard. It’s a common disease & caused by fungus.

Mustard has a prominent place in oilseed crops in India in terms of area and production.

Mustard is a Rabi season crop. As compare to other Rabi crop, Mustard is more sensitive to climatic factor. Temperature about 15-25°c is suitable for the cultivation.
