Fruit borer is one of the serious pest of tomato. It is polyphagous pest. 

Staking is a popular way of supporting tomatoes.

To prepare nursery in one hectare area, 200-250 gm seeds for hybrid varieties and 300-350 gm seeds for other varieties are sufficient. 

Early blight is the most common disease found in tomato plants. This disease is spread by fungus.

21-23°c temperature is appropriate for the production of tomato. 20-25°c temperature is suitable for the formation of lycopene.
