Disease - Yellow rust (Stripe rust) of wheat

Causal organism - Puccinia striiformis

Symptoms - The colour of leaves turns light green from dark green. Yellow spots appear in stripes on the leaves. On the leaves, small yellowish spots become formed, which are dark in the last stage of the disease. The grains that are in the ears of the plants are light and weak.

Control - Spray mencozeb 75 WP, 2 g per liter of water or spray propiconazol 200 ml with 200 liter of water. If the disease appears in January, then after 15 days spraying again.

I.D.M. (Integrated Pest Management) - Use advanced resistant varieties. Clean the farm thoroughly.
